Before coming to the IRI, Francesco worked as an editor in the Wall Street Journal's news graphics department and moonlighted as a science/health reporter for the paper as well. He has also freelanced for a variety of publications, including Discover, The Scientist and Reuters Health.
As communications officer, Francesco promotes the IRI's work primarily by writing web stories, developing audioslideshows and videos. He oversees much of the design and editing of institutional reports, presentations, and flyers. He also maintains the media page and news-related email list.
